Components: V, S

You banish a creature that you can see within range into a labyrinthine demiplane. The target remains there for the duration or until it escapes the maze.

The target can use its action to attempt to escape. When it does so, it makes a DC 20 Intelligence check. If it succeeds, it escapes, and the spell ends (a minotaur or goristro demon automatically succeeds).

When the spell ends, the target reappears in the space it left or, if that space is occupied, in the nearest unoccupied space.

Maze, Answered

What level spell is Maze in 5e?

Maze is an 8th-level conjuration spell, so casting it costs a 8th-level slot or higher.

What classes can cast Maze?

Maze appears on the wizard spell list in the SRD. Subclasses that draw from the wizard list, such as the Arcane Trickster and Eldritch Knight, can also gain access.

Does Maze require concentration?

Yes. Maze requires concentration (up to 10 minutes), so it ends if you cast another concentration spell, or if you fail a Constitution save after taking damage.
