What are tieflings good at in 5e?
Cha +2 and Int +1, darkvision, permanent fire resistance from level 1, and three free spells (Thaumaturgy, Hellish Rebuke, Darkness). It is the best Charisma race in the Player’s Handbook.
What is the best class for a tiefling?
Warlock and sorcerer — Cha +2 is exactly what both want, and the infernal bloodline is free flavour. Bard and paladin also use the Charisma perfectly.
Is tiefling fire resistance good?
Yes, and it never turns off. Fire is one of the most common damage types in the game, and having resistance from level 1 with no resource cost is quietly one of the strongest racial traits available.
Are tieflings evil?
No — the infernal heritage is ancestry, not alignment. The tension between how they look and who they are is the entire point of the race, and most tiefling characters are built around it.
