IllusionWizard Arcane Tradition — D&D 5e

Illusionists are the great liars of the wizarding world — where other traditions overwhelm a problem with force, illusionists solve it by convincing everyone in the room that the problem was never there to begin with.

Illusion Features

Level 2Illusion Savant

Copying an illusion spell into your spellbook costs you less time and less gold than usual.

Level 2Improved Minor Illusion

You learn the Minor Illusion cantrip and can now weave both a sound and an image into the same illusion, or add convincing extra sensory details like smell and texture to your illusion spells.

Level 6Phantasmal Self

As a bonus action, you can conjure an illusory duplicate of yourself, useful for confusing attackers or slipping away while enemies target the wrong image.

Level 10Illusory Reality

You can make part of one of your illusions physically real for a moment, letting a conjured object actually be touched, climbed, or used, briefly blurring the line between the fake and the true.

Level 14Dreamweave

Once per day, you can cast a powerful illusion spell you know without spending a spell slot, drawing on the deepest layer of your tradition’s craft.
