BladesingingWizard Arcane Tradition — D&D 5e
Bladesinging is the one wizard tradition built to fight in melee, weaving an elven martial art together with arcane magic so the caster becomes their own weapon and shield at once, dancing through combat rather than hiding at its edge.

Bladesinging Features
Level 2 — Bladesong
As a bonus action, so long as you’re not wearing heavy armor or carrying a shield, you can enter a fluid combat state that boosts your AC, spellcasting saving throws, and movement speed for a short time.
Level 2 — Training in War and Song
You gain proficiency with light armor and one type of one-handed weapon, letting you carry a blade into melee without weighing yourself down.
Level 6 — Extra Attack
You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn — a rare gift for a wizard, and one that only fully shines while your Bladesong is active.
Level 10 — Song of Defense
While your Bladesong is active, you can spend a spell slot to reduce damage from an attack that hits you, letting your remaining magic double as a last line of defense.
Level 14 — Song of Victory
While your Bladesong is active, you add extra damage to your melee weapon attacks, turning the tradition’s signature dance into genuine sustained damage.
