Storm SorcerySorcerer Sorcerous Origin — D&D 5e

Storm Sorcery channels the fury of wind and lightning into a caster who never stays put — this is the most mobile spellcaster build in the game, built around darting through a fight on gusts of wind while punishing anyone foolish enough to close the distance.

Storm Sorcery Features

Level 1Wind Speaker

You can understand and speak the primal tongue of storms and elemental winds, a small but flavorful nod to the forces your magic draws on.

Level 1Storm’s Fury

When you take damage, you can use your reaction to lessen the blow and blast the attacker back with a gust of wind, shoving it away from you.

Level 6Heart of the Storm

Right after you cast a spell, you can take to the air on a bonus action for a short flight, and any creature your weapon or spell damages can be flung back with the force of a gale.

Level 14Storm’s Wrath

Any creature that hits you with a melee attack gets struck back by lightning or thunder, punishing enemies for ever getting close.

Level 18Wind Soul

You become immune to lightning and thunder damage, and you can grant yourself and others a flying speed that shrugs off storms and high winds entirely.
