Divine SoulSorcerer Sorcerous Origin — D&D 5e

Somewhere in a Divine Soul’s bloodline sits a brush with the divine — an angel, a god’s favor, a near-death vision of the astral planes — and their magic reads as much like a priest’s blessing as it does raw arcane talent. It’s widely regarded as one of the strongest and most flexible origins, blending real healing into a kit that usually has none.

Divine Soul Features

Level 1Divine Soul in the Blood

You gain one cantrip and one 1st-level spell from the cleric list, leaning good or evil to match your divine spark, and you can pick up further cleric spells later without them counting against your spells known.

Level 1Wellspring of Divine Magic

Once per long rest, you can cast Cure Wounds as though it cost nothing more than a cantrip, letting you patch someone up without burning a real spell slot.

Level 6Divine Resistance

You gain resistance to the damage type most associated with whatever you consider your spark’s opposite — radiant if your soul leans infernal, necrotic or fire if it leans celestial.

Level 14Empowered by Heaven

Whenever a healing spell you cast restores hit points to you or an ally, that creature also gains a bonus in temporary hit points.

Level 18Angelic Form

Once per day as a bonus action, you can manifest wings and a radiant aura for a short time, gaining a flying speed while allies standing in the aura gain resistance to damage.
