Whispers Features
Level 3 — Psychic Blades
Once per turn on a hit, the bard can pile on a burst of psychic damage that leaves the target rattled — a sneak-attack-style spike bolted onto a class that normally never gets one.
Level 3 — Words of Terror
A private conversation and a spent inspiration die can leave the target quietly terrified of the bard for close to an hour, no spell slot required.
Level 6 — Mantle of Whispers
Killing a humanoid lets the bard capture a magical impression of them and later wear it as a disguise, voice and mannerisms included — this is the feature that turns a Whispers bard into an infiltrator.
Level 14 — Shadow Lore
The bard can plant a lie backed by real magical compulsion, and against a target that's already helpless, frightened, or badly hurt, that same working can be turned lethal — not a subtle subclass by the endgame.
